R&R Celebrates Completion of Paradigm Building

October 16, 2018

URBANDALE, Iowa (October 15, 2018) – R&R Realty Group (R&R) celebrated the completion of its brand-new Paradigm Building last Thursday. Attending the event were representatives from the City of Urbandale and the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce, along with business leaders from across the Des Moines metro area.

At 45,000 square feet, Paradigm is the newest speculative office building in both R&R’s portfolio and Urbandale’s Urban Loop area.

“R&R has really been a trail blazer within the Urban Loop,” said Bob Andeweg, Mayor of Urbandale. “We believe this building will help with efforts to attract the kinds of businesses and employees we want to see in Urbandale.”

Plans call for a second, 45,000 square foot section of the building to be added at a later date, eventually increasing the building’s size to 90,000 square feet.

“We want to thank R&R for investing in Urbandale,” remarked Pat Pithan, Vice Chair of the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce. “This building is poised to be the office of the future and we’re thrilled it’s in our community."

Cladded in glass and metal, the building features a contemporary design, along with unique amenities like collaborative work areas and a rooftop patio. Including these types of features in the building was the result of several conversations between R&R and its customers.

“One of the biggest challenges many of our customers face is the attraction and retention of top talent,” said Mark Rupprecht, President of R&R Realty Group. “Employers want to create unique work environments and this building has been designed to provide that opportunity.
