Sid Juwarker Hired As VP Of Economic Development At The Greater Des Moines Partnership

GREATER DES MOINES, IA (May 3, 2024) – The Greater Des Moines Partnership has named Sid Juwarker as its VP of Economic Development. In this role, Juwarker will work to gather economic development leads of companies across the country that are interested in relocating or expanding in Greater Des Moines (DSM). Juwarker will begin his role on May 17. 

Juwarker brings a wide range of experience in business and client development. Most recently, he was Vice President/Regional Leader for Central Iowa with Graham Construction, a position he has held since 2022. Prior, Juwarker served as a Client Development Manager and National Account Manager for Terracon for nine years. He spent eight years as a Senior Project Manager for a local environmental consulting firm. Juwarker has also served in numerous volunteer roles, and currently serves on the Executive Committee for the Greater Dallas County Development Alliance and as a Member of the City of Pleasant Hill’s Comprehensive Plan Committee. 

“Sid’s understanding of how businesses make decisions and his ability to build relationships will be a tremendous asset to The Partnership, its Investors, Members and Affiliate Chambers of Commerce, and the 11-county region we serve,” said Stacie LoVan, Senior Vice President of Economic Development at The Partnership. “I am confident in our ability to attract new economic development projects with Sid’s leadership.” 

Juwarker has been recognized as a leader in the community. He is a graduate of the Leadership Iowa Class of 2008 and the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute Class of 2016. Juwarker was recognized as a Business Record Forty Under 40 honoree in 2018. He is a graduate of Drake University.
