4th Annual Food Truck Throw Down Expected to Draw 8,000 Attendees

May 8, 2018

Des Moines, IA (MAY 7, 2018) — The Des Moines Social Club is kicking off the summer with its annual Food Truck Throw Down. From 11am to 8pm on Saturday, May 12th, 15 local food trucks will be on Cherry Street between 8th and 10th Streets. In addition to the food trucks, the event will host live music, art activities, and a food judging contest. All proceeds from the  Food Truck Throw Down will support the Des Moines Social Club’s mission of using the arts as a catalyst to create unprecedented community engagement.  More information can be found at desmoinessocialclub.org/foodtruck.

Building upon the success of the previous three years of the festival, event organizers expect to draw 8,000 attendees.  Admission is $5 at the entrance, giving attendees access to the food trucks, live music, arts activities and other entertainment.  All food trucks will have smaller portions available at a lower cost to allow attendees to try more foods and vote for their favorite.
