What is a Signature Offering of Your Chamber?
Ladies Night Bingo! We will be holding our 7th event in the fall of 2024. This signature event was created to allow women to have a fun night out, while raising funds for the Clive Chamber Intern Program as well as a Scholarship Fund for seniors at both Waukee and Valley high schools!
What is Your Chamber’s Biggest Accomplishment in the Past 12 Months?
We surpassed over 200 Chamber members and created a fresh five-year strategic plan for the Chamber, emphasizing the preservation of value and benefits for our members, boosting membership numbers and volunteer involvement, sustaining strong relationships with our partners and launching a Young Professionals initiative.
What Initiative/Project Are You Looking Forward to in the Upcoming Year?
Clive Emerging Leaders! This program’s mission is to foster career growth for young professionals by promoting relationship building and facilitating professional development opportunities. The Clive Chamber will host networking events, organize professional development programs and offer mentorship with experienced business leaders in our community.
What Partnership Tools/Resources Have Been Most Beneficial to Your Chamber Members?
The Greater Des Moines Partnership’s educational and advocacy initiatives are extremely beneficial to our members because a Chamber of our size does not have the resources to back these types of efforts. For example, the Small Business Success Summit gave our members the opportunity to learn from nationally recognized leaders to help their businesses thrive.

Kristy Schmidt
Kristy Schmidt is the Executive Director of the Clive Chamber of Commerce. After serving as a Chamber volunteer, she became the first full-time Executive Director of the organization in 2012. Kristy works to champion a prosperous business community in Clive and to collaborate with the Chamber’s members and partners.
